Larry is a lifelong resident of Rutland County and a fifth generation Vermonter. He graduated from Mount Saint Joseph Academy and from Castleton University with a BS in Business Education. Larry and his wife, Wanda, have been married for 47 years and have two children and four grandchildren.
Larry has served on numerous boards and committees as either board chair or president. He is currently serving his 20th year representing the Town of Mendon on the Rutland Regional Planning Commission, which he chaired from 2006-2009
Larry also served on the Rutland Free Library Board of Trustees for six years including four years as an officer and two years as President. He is currently doing consulting work for the library.
Larry Courcelle played a pivotal role in the recovery efforts in Mendon after Tropical Storm Irene! He spent day in and day out helping the members of his community to come out stronger than ever after Irene!
